The Color Lab: A Doodle Workshop
Spend three hours exploring color through fiber arts in a warm, welcoming space. Play with yarn as your palette, experiment with stitches and doodles, and create freely alongside others in a relaxed, community-centered environment. Perfect for beginners and the fiber-curious—no experience needed.
Donuts & Dpns
Don’t let double-pointed needles intimidate you! In this fun and approachable two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to confidently use DPNs and see just how simple they really are. We’ll break down the basics, share helpful tips, and get you comfortable working in the round—plus, there will be donuts to enjoy while you stitch. Come ready to learn, laugh, and leave with a new skill!
Knitting 101: Summer Series
Join us this summer for a 6-class session focused on the essentials of knitting. By the end of the series, you’ll have mastered the basics and be well on your way to knitting with confidence! This condensed version of our 8-week series is designed to be both fun and approachable. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 6 weeks, from 6-7:30pm.

Cast On Camp
Join our Summer Knitting Camp- CAST ON CAMP- designed especially for beginners eager to learn a new creative skill in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will explore the basics of knitting—from casting on to completing their first projects—while building confidence, patience, and creativity. With hands-on guidance and plenty of encouragement, each participant will leave with new skills, handmade pieces, and a love for the craft. Perfect for first-time knitters of all ages!

West End Woolies is thrilled to participate in this year’s Festival of Trees at the Wadsworth Atheneum. We’ve contributed two beautifully decorated trees, each adorned with handcrafted, fiber-art ornaments created in our studio.

Knitting Camp at KO
This half day morning summer camp, to be held at Kingswood Oxford school in West Hartford, CT will teach participants the basics of knitting, including how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, while working on simple projects they can complete during the camp. Along the way, students will explore the various types of yarns and fibers used in knitting, gaining an appreciation for the craft’s rich history and creative possibilities. In addition to honing their knitting skills, students will have the chance to make new friends, share their progress, and collaborate in a welcoming, supportive environment. By the end of the camp, each participant will leave with a handknit item they can be proud of, along with the confidence to continue exploring the art of knitting on their own.

Every Monday night from 6–8 PM in July, our studio doors are open! Bring your latest project, meet fellow fiber lovers, and enjoy two cozy hours of community, creativity, and connection. All skill levels welcome — come knit, chat, or just soak up the woolly vibes while enjoying some tea and treats!

Teen Sustainable Knitting Camp
Join West End Woolies for a one-week Knitting Camp where creativity, sustainability, and fashion come together! Throughout the week, students will learn how to upcycle old t-shirts into yarn and knit stylish accessories to elevate their everyday looks. This unique camp blends sustainable crafting with fashion, helping participants develop knitting skills while embracing the art of repurposing. Along the way, campers will connect with new friends, exchange ideas, and inspire each other through creative collaboration. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, this camp offers the perfect space to explore your creativity and craft something truly special. Please bring three large t-shirts (well-loved and ready for donation are ideal!) to transform into yarn.

In collaboration with Hartford Fiber Circle, West End Woolies is hosting a 2-hour beginner knitting workshop in our new studio at Real Art Ways - 56 Arbor Street, Suite 218 in Hartford, CT. Whether you're starting fresh or looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on session is the perfect introduction.
Class Fee: 55.00
Materials Fee: 15.00 (The materials fee includes all the supplies you’ll need for the class, and everything is yours to keep! You’ll head home with your project, your tools, and the confidence to keep knitting and growing your skills)
